Bookkeeping is the keeping of a company's books and records which is a legal requirement of all companies that are set up in Europe. This should normally be done using an accountancy software package and at the end of each month or quarter you would receive management accounts consisting of a Profit and Loss Account and Balance Sheet. At the end of each month each member of staff would receive a pay slip showing their gross pay and the appropriate deductions depending on which country in Europe you have set up in. You as an Employer would receive a summary of this and all the appropriate paperwork to enable you to pay all appropriate Employer Tax over to the Tax Authorities.
